  • Zusammenfassung:  In the simplest terms the iLoad by Wingspan transfers your CDs onto your iPod without using a computer. No computer, no iTunes, nada, zippo, nothing. Potentially it’s a useful product that addresses a need of those who want an iPod and don’t w...

  • The iLoad provides a means for ripping your DVDs and CDs directly to your iPod without involving iTunes or your personal computer.
  • The iLoad is bulky and noisy and has a small screen. You may be spending more on the iLoad than you did for your iPod. It does not work with the Apple iPhone.
  • The iLoad is marketed to people who love their iPods but hate computers. Unfortunately, iLoad only replaces the frustrations with a computer of its own.

  • Sneakily installs software on your iPod. Software alphabetizes artists beginning with "the" under T. Rather loud for a modern device. Pricey.
  • For people who are perhaps afraid of their computers or dont own one, the iLoad offers an interesting workaround....

  • A standalone device capable of converting CDs into iPod-ready MP3 files, tagged with album, artist, and genre information, without requiring you to use your computer. Rips discs at 3-5 times original run times, drops files right onto your iPod. Softwar...
  • Runs louder, slower, and with less additional file detail (album art) or format support than low-end computer running free iTunes software; has out-of-box compatibility problems with current iPods and certain prior models*. In addition to 30-second boo...
  • Updated: We’ve added new sections (and unfortunately boring videos) to our review explaining in greater detail our prior test results, incorporating some of the information found in our Backstage article on iLoad. Portions of the original review...
