  • A poorly-designed outing that might, in another continuity where the previous Thief games never existed, have earned itself the heady accolade of 'barely average'. Unfortunately, we all know that it could be € and has been done € so much better....

  • Zusammenfassung:  Remember what playgrounds used to be like? The best of them featured huge wooden and metal structures filled with dodgy activities such as ring-swinging or ziplining. They encouraged risk-taking and escapades. We'd get hurt on them sometimes—I have a larg...

  • Thief does many things right. The gameplay is great for the most part, Garrett is his same wonderful self, it looks wonderful, the AI often works well, and the range of customization options is amazing. Missions are enjoyable with a couple of real stand-o...

  • Smart multi-path levels late in the game, Best surrealist tendencies since Far Cry 3
  • Takes about 10 hours to really get started, No jump button makes Garrett feel less agile than a boat
  • Thief is not as bad as people feared, but also not as good as they might've hoped. Its main flaw? Releasing in a post-Dishonored world....

  • Zusammenfassung:  Garrett the Master Thief has had a long, ten year hiatus since his last outing in Deadly Shadows. You would think having a long time to gather your thoughts and hone your skills would do a Master Thief good. In reality, it made Garrett all the more rusty...

  • Those who thought AMD's Mantle API would make a superfast PC with high-end CPU and top of the line GPU even faster are in for a disappointment. In such situations, as well as in every other case of a GPU-bottleneck, Mantle is hardly faster, and sometime...

Veröffentlicht: 2014-03-18, Autor: Stuart , Testbericht von: hardwareheaven.com

  • Zusammenfassung:  A few months ago AMD and Dice released a patch (and driver) which enabled the first real world example of Mantle. For those who haven't heard Mantle is a platform which replaces DirectX when using AMD cards, allowing game developers better access to the G...

  • Thief is a muddled but well-intentioned game that undermines smart, sinister stealth with weird controls and lousy characters. An atmospheric setting and plenty of freedom helps matters enormously, but all told it's a strange compromise of a game.Tags:Gam...

  • Excellent and comprehensive settings that can completely alter the way the game is played. Some truly impressive levels. Excellent lock picking mechanics. Generally faithful to Thief lore, with some welcome visits from old friends.
  • Too many loading screens. Poor AI. Lighting throughout the world is too extreme; either too bright, or too dark. Poor dialogue
  • With an open world to explore, top-notch AI and a third of the load screens then this would have been an excellent return for Thief . There is enough here to make it enjoyable but too many inconsistencies and errors to mean that you fall in love with th...
